• Multiple camera actors can now be created enabling animations to seamlessly switch between camera views. Cameras and their target points can be attached to actors in several new ways with control over color, roll, pitch, yaw, lock distance to target, and distance to target.
• Several enhancements have been added to Bill of Materials (BOM) tables to improve interactivity and appearance. Hovering over BOM table rows in the viewport now highlights the corresponding geometry actors and callouts on screen to improve the understanding of the technical illustration. BOM table color properties can also now be individually defined allowing text and row colors to be customized.
• New “smart” technical illustration outlines offer high visual acuity for parts and assemblies without the complexity of showing all construction edges or sharp edge outlines.
• Collaborative actors can now be shared quickly and easily using copy, cut, and paste, either within the same 3DVIA Composer document, across different 3DVIA Composer documents, or even between 3DVIA Composer applications.
• 3D CAD files from Siemens® Solid Edge® and Autodesk® Inventor® can now be imported without the need for prior translation, providing an efficient and transparent workflow when working with files from multiple sources.
• New “Styles” features bring even more power and convenience to the content authoring process. Centralized in a new “Styles” tab on the user interface, you now have quick access to a styles gallery with preview images of predefined styles. You can also define custom styles to give actor families their own default styles.
